President Zhang Visited New Ambassador of Algeria
In the afternoon of June 23rd, 2016, at the invitation of Algeria Embassy to China, President Zhang Yi visited the Excellency Ahcene Boukhelfa at his official residence. Both sides exchanged ideas regarding bilateral trade and cultural communication in an atmosphere of joy.
Firstly, Ambassador Ahcene Boukhelfa expressed his warm welcome and appreciation for the coming of President Zhang. Mr. Ambassador said Algeria has always been attached great importance on bilateral relationship with China. On the aspect of cultural communication, since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1958, both countries have achieved increasingly frequent exchanges in cultural life and other aspects and the friendship between the people are also constantly close, now there are 5,500 Chinese people living in Algeria. At the same time, many Algeria people are very familiar with the customs and manners of China; In terms of economic and trade cooperation, since the 70's of last century, 800 Chinese enterprises have been planted in Algeria, among which 120 play a major role in promoting local economic development, China has become Algeria's largest trading partner. The Ambassador said he would continue to fully support the work of our foundation, and he expected that our foundation can help Algerian enterprises to utilize speciality by taking its accumulated experience and resource advantage. President Zhang attached great importance to the Ambassador’s suggestion and said he would like to enhance cooperation with Algeria Embassy and Algerian enterprises.
