Mid-Autumn Festival African Ambassadors’ Spouses Tea Party
On the afternoon of September 8th, our foundation held Mid-Autumn Festival African Ambassadors’ Spouses Tea Party in China-Africa Friendly Culture Club. We invited the Ambassador spouses of Ghana, Liberian and Zimbabwean Enbassy. Journalists from CCTV, Chinese famous alligraphers and painters also attended the party. Mr. Zhang Yi, the President of our foundation, Ms. Cao Yanxia, the Director of China-Afrca Friendly Culture Club and Secretary General Mr. Zhu Xinghong expressed a very warm welcome to all the guests.

The party is featured with Chinese traditional Culture. First, African Ambassadors’ spouses washed their hands with flower petal. Then they took their seats and drank the tea. Mr. Zhang Yi said that our foundation is a bridge for economic and trade exchanges between China and Africa. We want to provide a good platform for Chinese enterprises and African countries through organizing activities in China-Africa Friendly Culture Club. Our foundation always try our best to help African dropout children to come back to school, and last year we helped some students from Malawi came to China for education tour, which earned good social reaction. He expressed that in the future, we will try to help more people.

The Ghanaian Ambassador’s spouse Ms. Huseina A. Demuyakor expressed thanks to the invitation. She said that she has focused on promotion of multi-faceted communication and cooperation between China and Africa since she came to China 20 years ago. She has build a deep relationship with China. As the present Vice President of the Group of African Ambassadors’ Spouses, she would like to cooperate with more excellent people and she want to let the world know more about Africa through her own efforts. She also expressed the thanks to our foundation’s contribution to China-Africa trade cooperation. She hoped to deepen the friendship with us and keep cooperation and communication. The Ambassador spouses of Liberian and Zimbabwean embassies also had talks and both expressed the wishes of communication and cooperation.

Ms. Cao Yanxia, the Director of China-Africa friendly Culture Club expressed her heartfelt thanks to the ambassador's wives for their arrival. She said that China-Africa friendly Culture Club regard tea as a medium，and combine it with traditional Chinese culture, calligraphy and painting, classical music, etc.，aims to providing a platform for Sino-Africa economic, trade, cultural exchange. The culture club has successfully held a variety of activities including economic and trade information launching conference, exchange meeting between Chinese enterprise leaders and diplomats, etc, which created opportunities for the exchange between China and African countries. Meanwhile, she introduced tea types and related knowledge, and welcome the ambassador's spouses to visit the tea house frequently. Ms. Cao taught the ladies how to make Jasmine Tea and jujube white tea while enjoying the Violin and Guqin performance. Drinking tea is one of old Chinese traditional culture. Jujube white tea is very fragrant and has not only medicinal value but also beauty effect, which wins special praise from African Ambassadors’ spouses.

Finally, the tea party came to a happy termination. The event showed that our foundation plays an important role in culture communication between China and Africa and accelerated the relationship with African Ambassadors’ spouses. In the future, we will continue to promote Chinese and African culture and work hard to enhance the cultural communication.
