President Zhang Yi attended the First Gala Dinner for Moon Festival at the Embassy of Sierra Leone
On the evening of September 14th, invited by the Ambassador of Embassy of Sierra Leone, President Zhang Yi attended the First Gala Dinner for Moon Festival at the Embassy of Sierra Leone. Diplomats from other embassies, representative from Chinese companies, as well as artists and singers were also invited to the event.
A speech by the Ambassador of Sierra Leone
The Ambassador of Sierra Leone delivered a speech and expressed the heartfelt gratitude to the attendance of all the guests and their consistent support to the embassy. He emphasized President Zhang Yi , with his leadership, the China-Africa Friendly Economic and Trade Development Foundation has given the all-round support to the embassy, which has made people from two countries become close friends and family. It indicates vividly the name of “China Africa Friendly”. He said that Sierra-China Friendship was time-honored and the economic, trade and cultural communication was frequent and long-lasting. As the bridge of Sierra Leone and China, the Embassy of Sierra Leone will make every effort to provide favorable conditions for mutual communication. As the Chinese traditional festival- Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, this gala dinner is held to create a good opportunity for people to communicate with each other. After that, some representatives from Chinese companies also delivered speeches, and artists and singers made performances to express their best wishes to all the participants. All the participants talked freely, appreciated the moonlight, and enjoyed the dinner together.
The gala dinner came to an end in a harmonious atmosphere, which carried forward the Chinese traditional culture, accelerated the bilateral friendship as well as promoted the friendly and open communication between people of two countries. Long live the China-Sierra Leone friendship!
