Ambassador of Embassy of Gambia visits our foundation

On the afternoon of May 23rd, H.E. Mr. Dembo M. Badjie, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of the Gambia, visited our foundation and had a cordial conversation with Mr. Zhang Yi, the President of our foundation. Mr. Zhu Xinghong, Vice President of the our foundation, Mr. Yuan Xu, Deputy Secretary General and Ms. Linda Yu, Foreign Affairs Assistant of the President also attended the meeting.

Firstly, the Ambassador expressed his heartfelt thanks to our President for the valuable time he spent with him, hoping to enhance the traditional friendship and strengthen friendly cooperation between the two sides through frequent visits. He appreciated the contribution made by our foundation in promoting China-Africa friendly exchanges and cooperation, hoped to have further discussion on specific cooperative programs in 2017 and share experience with us. As one of the Western African countries, Gambia had a favorable investment environment and welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest and visit. He hoped that our foundation can help organize the business trip of Chinese enterprises to Gambia, to promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges. The Embassy would give full support in visa application and other areas. At the same time, the ambassador is looking forward to cooperating with Chinese enterprises in varies fields, including medical treatment, convention center, international exhibition and so on, which would help promote bilateral economic and trade development.
President Zhang Yi expressed his warm welcome to the visit of the Ambassador, and appreciated his affirmation to our work. He said that our foundation would continue to promote political security and economic development of African countries. We would use the advantages of resources to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Gambia, fully cooperate with the Embassy of Gambia in organizing the business trip of Chinese enterprises to Gambia as well as built a favorable platform for bilateral economic and trade development.
Next, both sides exchanged ideas on the specific cooperative plan for 2017, and reached a preliminary cooperative intention. Both sides expressed their hope to speed up the pace of collaboration and look forward to more pragmatic cooperation.
The meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere, which enhanced the friendship between our foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of the Gambia and laid a solid foundation for both sides to have further cooperation in various fields.
