Mariatu Kargbo attended the charity event which was held by Rwanda Embassy

On September 24, the image ambassador of China Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association, popular singer Mariatu Kargbo attended the charity event which was held by Rwanda Embassy. At the event, Mariatu sang two songs named Thank You, China and Where Is Love for the audiences. The two songs conveyed Mariatu’s Chinese sentiment, her love for China and her enthusiasm in charity event. It’s known that Mariatu donated a lot of new clothes to the African airport staffs.

On that day afternoon, the ambassadress sold the African food and books made by her and donated all the money to the Chinese orphans. Mariatu was touched by the ambassadress and she bought lots of new clothes for the African airport staffs. During the event, Mariatu soulfully sang songs named Thank You China and Where Is Love. When talked about charity anthems, Mariatu, who likes to convey her love by songs, said that Where Is Love expressed the charity attitude of all the caring people including her. The attitude is that there is a place in our heart where is full of love. If we can create a world without disasters and tough then the world will be filled with warm and joyful. Only understanding each other and caring for each other can we live a better life. As a charity anthem, Where Is Love conveyed all the caring people’s willingness.

The report said that Mariatu was the very first foreigner who walked into the disaster area in Sichuan province in Wenchuan earthquake, 2008. The most visited place where Mariatu has been to is Dujiangyan city, because there are many kids there whom were funded by Mariatu. During the National Day holiday, as limited time, before she went back to Africa, she specially bought three packs of clothes and posted them to the kids that she funds. Mariatu has been always earnestly practiced what she advocates.

It is known that Mariatu has been keen on charity events and her career progresses day by day. At the mean time, she actively participates in public welfare activities and cares about the kids’ growth and education. She subsidizes many orphans not only in China but also in Africa and hopes they will have a healthy and happy growth. What Mariatu has been done is touching more and more people.
