Secretary-General visits the Embassy of Malaysia

On the afternoon of 7th March, our Secretary-General visited the embassy of Malaysia, at the invitation of Minister Counselor Mr. See Chee Kong. Both sides had a pleasant meeting.
Secretary-General Mr. Zhang Zongwu first sincerely thanked the Malaysian embassy for their warm welcome, and then briefly introduced our business scope, functions and achievements. He emphasized that our foundation does not only focus on building economic ties with African countries, but also broadening our connections with Silk Road countries to help implement One Belt One Road initiative. We aim to create a platform for Chinese companies and Silk Road countries to exchange ideas through organizing economic and trade activities. Besides, our China-Africa Friendly International Trade Company also played an active role. Our foundation would like to deepen our cooperation with the Malaysian embassy, enhance bilateral trade exchange, share trading intelligence and reach win-win development.
Mr. See first welcomed our visit, and highly praised our contribution to international trade development. He said, One Belt One Road is the result of China’s open up policy, which may also benefit countries along the Silk Road route. Malaysia is an emerging economy in Asia, which has appealing development in diverse industries. It has abundant natural resources and positive investment climate. Many industries, including electronics, manufacture, architecture and service industry have rapid growth. He hoped to deepen cooperation with us, promote Malaysian products and projects to achieve practical cooperation in various fields. In the meanwhile, Malaysian embassy also wished to provide more trade information to us to seek partnership through our platform.
Next, both sides exchanged views and experience on the risk and strategies for investing in global markets. They also confirmed a preliminary plan for cooperation in 2017, both sides hoped to join hands to contribute to Malaysia’s economic growth. Last but not least, Secretary-General Mr. Zhang Zongwu cordially invite the Malaysian embassy to attend our One Belt One Road Economic and Trade Salon in March, 2017. Mr. See thanked our kind invitation, and expressed his hope to lift up our friendship and cooperation to a new level.
The meeting ended in a pleasure atmosphere,which helped strengthen our friendship with Malaysian embassy, and lay a solid foundation for our future cooperation.
