Ambassador of Benin Embassy visits our foundation
On the morning of March 9th, H.E. Mr. Simon Pierre Adovelande, Ambassador of Benin Embassy paid a visit to our foundation, and had a meeting with Mr. Zhang Yi, our President, Mr. Yu Shining, director of International Liaison Department and Ms. Linda Yu, Foreign Affairs Assistant to President, as well as Mr. Te-Yeri O, B. Issiakou, the economic and trade attache of the embassy.
Both sides had a pleasant talk
First of all, ambassador thanked our President for his time, and expressed his wish to further strengthen our traditional friendship and cooperation through frequent visits. He also thanked the foundation for the efforts to contribute to China-Benin friendly exchanges and cooperation, and hoped to discuss detailed cooperative plans and share each experience. Benin, as a member of West African Economic Community, has good investment environment and welcomes Chinese companies to invest. He mentioned, under One Belt and One Road Initiative, Benin embassy hoped to make use of our successful experience in coordinating with Silk Road countries to boost China-Benin trade interactions. At the same time, His Excellency was also willing to share his relevant experience in economic fields as reference for Chinese companies to invest in Africa.
President Zhang Yi welcomed His Excellency’s visit to our foundation, and thanked Benin embassy for its continuous firm support. He emphasized that One Belt One Road can not develop without support from African countries. Africa is not just a terminal of Silk Road route, but also its starting point. Our foundation will also focus onpromoting political safety and economic development of African countries. Ambassador represents the image of one country. He hoped that Ambassador of Benin Embassy will take an active part in our activities to promote the investment environment and policy for the benefit of Benin people. Meanwhile, he put forward many suggestions for our practical cooperation, such as sharing business information about forums, expos and projects by hosting seminars, business promotions and business trips; building a bridge for China-Benin trade relations by making use of the rich bidding experience of our International trade company; applying for visa convenience for visitors or investors. His Excellency accepted our suggestions with pleasure, and promised that they will give the priority for our visa application in the future.
